Lone Mørch is a Danish photographer, author, and creative facilitator working at the intersection of art, body, ecology, and cultural change. Her practice moves between the personal and the political, where lived experience, perception, and narrative shape how we understand ourselves and the world.
For more than three decades of working internationally across Europe, the United States, and Asia, she has gathered nuanced perspectives on how personal lives, collective narratives, and power structures shape one another. Her work revolves around thresholds—the in-between spaces where identity loosens, familiar narratives let go, and other ways of seeing begin to take shape.
Her years in San Francisco, where she photographed over a thousand women, continue to inform her work. These encounters, centered on intimate portraiture and women’s stories, are gathered in her book EMBODY. She is also the author of Seeing Red: A Woman's Quest for Truth, Power and the Sacred, and her TEDx talk The Power of the Gaze introduced her work to a wider audience. Her work has been exhibited in the United States and Europe and featured in a range of international publications.
She lives in Denmark, where her current art project focuses on narrative repair and renewed relationships with the living world.
Hendes år i San Francisco, hvor hun fotografede over tusind kvinder, præger stadig hendes arbejde. Hun er også forfatter til Seeing Red: A Woman's Quest for Truth, Power and the Sacred, og hendes TEDx-foredrag The Power of the Gaze introducererede hendes arbejde for et bredere publikum.
Hun bor i Den Sydfynske Øhav.
